Our Privacy Policy

At Earth Site Encyclopedia we do not collect any personal data for any reason. We do however use a tracking cookie with Google Analytics™ which is used to analyse user behaviour but only the IP address is used.

All devices that log on to the internet are assigned an IP address by their service provider. This is a unique number which is based on your country and rough geographic location such as the city. Your name, email address, or any other personal information is not known. Google™ use the IP address to track how many people visit a certain page, if they are a new visitor and their basic geographical location. This information (and only this information) is then accessible to Earth Site admin allowing us to understand which pages are most viewed, how many new or returning visitors we receive and from which countries we get most traffic. This data is solely for the purposes of improving our site for our users. The information Google™ gathers from these cookies is not used by third parties.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

If we make changes to our Privacy Policy we will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice on our main page. We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.
